William Segal, M.D., is a practicing board-certified ophthalmologist and founder of Georgia Eye Physicians & Surgeons in Duluth, Georgia. A native of Atlanta, Dr. Segal earned his medical degree at Emory University School of Medicine before completing his residency in Ophthalmology at Washington University’s School of Medicine in St. Louis, MO, recognized as a top institution for Visual Science. Following his residency, Dr. Segal was awarded a prestigious fellowship in Cornea/External Disease and Refractive Surgery at the University of California, Davis.

Drawing from extensive fellowship training and greater than two decades of practice, Dr. Segal brings specialized knowledge when caring for all of his greater Atlanta vision correction patients. Currently an active fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, Dr. Segal stays on the forefront of eye care and offers a wide range of services, from cataract eye surgery to an optical center to assist in choosing the best corrective solution for your needs. Georgia Eye Physicians & Surgeons was among the first ophthalmology practices in Georgia to acquire and use the LenSx surgical laser for treating cataracts, which has now been used at the practice for more than 10 years. In 2019 they were privileged to be the first ophthalmology practice in Georgia to offer the cutting-edge Alcon AcrySof® IQ PanOptix® trifocal intraocular lenses (IOLs). Dr. Segal is also very proud to be one of the first to offer the cutting edge iLinkTM Cross-linking Procedure for patients with keratoconus.
