Welcome back to the latest installment in our recurring Spotlight Patient of the Month blog series. These blog posts allow our readers to hear firsthand from patients we have worked with in the past and hear how our professional, top-level eyecare can make a difference in their lives. Hearing back from our patients is extremely rewarding for us and can also help patients who might be hesitant feel more assured about their potential vision procedure. So without any further ado, here is Jack’s story from his time here at Georgia Eye Physicians & Surgeons.

Jack is a retired former restaurant owner living with his loving wife right here in Norcross, GA. He currently works part-time at Home Depot. When he’s not at work, Jack enjoys spending his time tending to his organic garden, roasting his own raw coffee beans, and cooking for his family whenever he gets the chance. He first visited Dr. William Segal after having issues with cataracts that were badly impacting his vision. After consulting about his options, Jack decided that he wanted to undergo cataract surgery on both his eyes.

I decided to this practice after noticing their office as I was leaving another doctor’s appointment. I was well aware of my vision problems, but still had not visited a professional eye doctor at that point. During my initial meeting with Dr. Segal, he performed a comprehensive vision exam on my eyes. He confirmed that I was developing cataracts in both eyes. When discussing my options, Dr. Segal helped guide me towards a decision to undergo laser cataract surgery to correct my vision issues. Both surgeries went smooth and were completely painless. My recovery following surgery was fantastic. I am extremely happy with my new vision and would recommend Dr. Segal and his staff to anyone.
